I have been shipped out to Amarillo as a member of the opening posse. No kidding thats what they call us here. A new Saltgrass opened about a week ago and they were a ton busier than they were expecting. In the first week they have done almost $190,000 in sales. That beats every record the company had. I worked 2 days last week and put in about 30 hours. A new week starts today and I am scheduled to work every day. It's going to be fun, and lots of money. This also is getting me seen by a lot of the higher up people in the company. They are learning who I am, how I work, and that I'm willing to do just about anything they need me to do. So this is going to be really good for me in the long run.
The drive here was long. Almost 12 hours of driving. It was so windy on the way here my poor little car was being blown all over the road. It's been worth it though. I am waiting tables since I've been here so far and it has been great. Yesterday I was asked to wait on the man that is 2nd in the company. It was pretty cool because he asked me if I would do wait on him and another guy. It went pretty well too. Got to talk about a lot of stuff with him and get to know him better, and he got to know me better.
I gotta go now and go to work now... another long week of making money. :)
